Privacy
Privacy and cookies.
What we collect, why, and your rights. Short and in plain language.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Melanvi, Spain. Contact: project@melanvi.com. See the legal notice for full details.
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, company, email, team size, the tasks you pick and any message you write.
- Helper bot (Mel): if Mel cannot answer and you choose to send your question, we receive the question and the email you give. Other questions stay in your browser and are not sent to us.
- Emails you send us directly.
We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or profiling on this site.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To reply to you and arrange the free audit call you asked for. Basis: steps taken at your request before a possible contract (GDPR art. 6.1.b).
- If we work together, to deliver the project and invoice it. Basis: the contract and our legal obligations (art. 6.1.b and 6.1.c).
We never sell your data or use it for unrelated marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Who processes it for us
- Web3Forms delivers form and helper messages to our inbox.
- Google (Gmail) hosts our email.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and may log technical data such as IP addresses for security.
- Unsplash, jsDelivr and cdnjs serve photos and code libraries, so they receive your IP address when the page loads.
Some of these providers are outside the European Economic Area. They rely on the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU US Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, or object to its use, by writing to project@melanvi.com. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the AEPD (www.aepd.es), or the authority in your country.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies. It keeps a few small technical notes in your browser's session storage, for example whether Mel has already said hello or whether a page transition is running. They never leave your browser, are deleted when you close the tab, and are strictly necessary for the site to work as you expect, so no consent banner is needed.
